Why I'm reccing this fic: I had a dozen strong contenders for the #2 and #3 recs, but THIS is always and forever the Fic of My Underpants. JS took what seems a ridiculous concept (Fraser, Ray and Frannie are forced to have sex by an evil porn director) and made it not only the hottest thing imaginable, but sweet and true to the characters. I do believe this is the longest extended porn scene I've ever read. It starts yummy, with Ray starting to get really turned on as Frannie puts makeup on his face, and just builds until ... you might need to pace yourself. Lay in supplies. Bonbons, cigarettes, and extra underwear.

You like kink? JS has got it nailed. Mildubcon, genderfuck, threesome, watching and being watched, keeping control and losing it, unreliable narrators who assume the other guy isn't really into it.

Ray, Fraser and Frannie are all heros in this piece, doing their best to protect each other.
And then, after the climax(es. *coughs*) we have an absolutely uplifting resolution.

And just...wow. I'm blushing.

Please remember my co-author imkalena, who wrote the initial WIP. I tried to pester her into finishing it, but instead she dumped it in my lap and said "Here, you finish it." :) I wrote the sex, I'll admit, and 90% of the text, but the Cracktastic scenario was totally Kalena's brainchild (Greenie and Thorwald are her inventions as well, and Frannie's outfit and her heroism? Kalena insisted. :)

Ah, JS, I was just gonna post the link to the story at due Slash but you beat me to it.

Don't get me wrong - imkalena is one of my favorite writers and she has her own way with teh porn (her Light indulges my sex talk kink in a big way), but it's your writing that makes this story so scorchingly, unbelievable, brain-meltingly amazingly hot.

I agree with keerawa; this is certainly one of the best stories out there, and the porn is just a portion of what makes this so good.

Awww. You're so sweet. But truly, the cracky premise was imkalena's, and the predicament she put Ray and Fraser in was so intense that I kind of begged and pleaded A LOT for her to finish it. :) Which is what got me in that situation of having to finish it myself.

Hey, you know what? I've already begun work (slowly, mind you) on the sequel. :)

Oh, also, a big reason that Kalena got stalled on that project was that she didn't feel up to writing the sex scenes. I was shocked to hear that. I said, "What? The sex will write itself! Easy-peasy!" I think that's when she said, "Yeah? Fine, you write it!" :) (I paraphrase, of course.)

I think my favorite of Kalena's has to be her fabulous "Dining Out," which I've read many times. In fact, I think I've given her feedback on it five separate times. It's one of those stories I wish I'd written (and couldn't have done).

Hugs hugs. Miss you. Busy finishing the semester and with RL stuff and so on, and really, really hoping to, er, nail Girl-Ray (heh) this month. (Jesus, my brain just went south. Would a real Girl-Ray be hot: y/fy? I mean, don't get me wrong, you know I prefer the male one, but...guhhhh?)

The Makeup sequel will be a while. I have lots of other stuff to get to first.

The plan is this: Anima (the Girl-Ray novel) should get posted some time in the second week of May. It has art, which I want to redo, but I'm not going to hold it back for that. I'll publish the art as is and if I get inspired to redo it, I'll do that later.

Next up after that, the fic I promised slidellra almost a year ago, the sequel to Like Glass (http://crocolanthus.com/dsss/archive/2/likeglass.html). After that, the Art!Model!Ray story, and after that, another co-authored piece. That last began life as one of crysothemis' abandoned WIPs, which she has graciously given me to finish. That's just my short WIP-list, things that I think I'll finish sooner rather than later.

ficfinishing is my secret weapon, though, so I have high hopes to get all these things done. And I have a month off from art school from mid-May to mid-June, and another month off from early August to early September, which will help.

In the meantime, there is lots of naked RayK (and some clothed, would you believe?) and maybe even some Fraser coming up, and I will be doing at least one piece of art for DS/C6D Bigbang, too. So I've got my work cut out for me. What're you doing?? :)
