insta-rec, for christmas!: This Is Your Life
Title: This Is Your Life
Author: yet to be revealed
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio
Rating: NC-17
Length: long-ish
Why I'm reccing this fic: This is a Christmas story (in that it takes place at xmas time, without being overly schmoopy or at all predictable), on
ds_seekritsanta, and it blew me away. Fraser has amnesia and can't remember the last three years of his life, a life that includes both Ray Vecchio and Ray Kowalski. It's not overdone, it's not trite, it's not corny, it's one of the most perfect fics I've read. It broke my heart for Fraser and made me fall in love with Kowalski and Vecchio more than even before.
Then resignation sweeps through me. It's obvious they're happy together--I must let go, and find it in me to be happy for them, too. I'll do all right alone.
Ray shifts his weight as I scan the room in silence: the charming clutter of personal effects, the bright cluster of ties draped over the closet door. I pick a wheat-colored sweater off the floor and fold it, absently. It smells of Ray Vecchio, but even with all this sensory information, nothing raises a glimmer of remembrance in my mind. It's infuriating.
so, SO well done, such a GREAT Fraser POV. Seriously: go read.
