Admin Post: New Writers Challenge

Welcome to our very first challenge here at [livejournal.com profile] ds_recsredux!

What we have for you this week is the New Writers Challenge! We want you to rec fics by (relatively) new writers. Due South is a fandom that's, what, over a decade old? We're talking writers who are pretty new to the fandom. Someone who hasn't been recced a lot, someone who has emerged in the past six months or so, someone who is new to the fandom, or from another established fandom.

One of the very best things about Due South as a fandom is that there is constantly new blood. There are always new writers entering the fandom and giving us amazing fic. With the constant influx of writers, there are always some fics we may have missed along the way, from writers we don't know, and this is your chance to turn the spotlight on them!

So you have from now until midnight Sunday, October 8th, to post your favorite fics from new writers! Remember, three recs per challenge, plus one free insta-rec! See the profile for rules and formatting, and please remember to tag your recs!

Any ideas for future challenges, comm suggestions, or any questions that you have, comment on this post!

I posted my recs just now and, eh, there are no tags yet. I did manage to put "fraser/kowalski" (although I think I shouldn't have the rights to do that?), but my "after-cotw" keep eluding me. Help?

Scarily? 12 years old. We've got Hexwood stories that date to 1994. *g*

What a great topic to start off with! I'm especially grateful for this because I've, uh, fallen behind on my reading lately (MAJORLY) and I'm eager to see what cool new writers have emerged. Thanks so much for putting this comm together, guys!
