Why I'm reccing this fic: This is a dark fic because it's Fraser's thoughts which are full of self guilt and even loathing. It really fits into the idea of why he ran after Victoria and why despite everything he loved her, because of the darkness inside himself, not just her. It's also rather painful as Fraser can't tell Ray he loves him for fear of what it would do to Ray.

Once upon a time, I would wish for something bad to happen to me, just so I would have a reason to feel sorrow, instead of just feeling a blanket of guilt. I wanted to feel something so deeply it would overcome me. I'm only familiar with sad feelings, and so it only makes sense to want to feel worse. I believed anything to be better than the constant ache of nothingness inside.
