Whoops! Time flies when you're trying to remember your favorite lines. Thanks to keerawa and luzula for their contributions to the challenge! (I can't believe no one offered up the Eleventh of March speech. Fixed!)

Let's try an easier challenge this time. Quick, what was the last due South related fanwork you consumed -- fic, vid, art, icons, podfic? Rec it!

If you don't feel like recommending the last thing you read/saw/listened to -- or someone beats you to it -- then tell us about your first fannish encounter with due South. I'm not sure exactly which fic was my introduction to due South, but I do know it was something by Resonant -- so it may well have been The Teeth of the Hydra (http://trickster.org/res/hydra.html). (F/K, K/Stella, NC-17)

Last fanwork: helens78's Have You Performed At This Establishment Before?, which has Ray K undercover in a punk band. There is also Fraser being frustrated and toppy.

First fanwork: Speranza's "Wildly Dangerous Ways".

Well, this is a little embarrassing, but the last ds fanwork I consumed was actually my own AU, Death-Defying (http://keerawa.livejournal.com/57012.html). Someone left some feedback. I went to respond, and got caught up in the story again. That tends to happen to me!

My first was Speranza's Chicago's Most Wanted (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/CMWanted.html"). I wasn't all that familiar with canon, didn't realize there were two Rays, and so Fraser's confusion over Ray's identity completely confuzzled me. But I couldn't stop reading!

The first Due South fic I ever read was long before I was in the fandom at all; I think I'd seen maybe one episode back when it first aired:
littera_abactor and norah's The Cetacean Situation (http://www.livejournal.com/users/littera_abactor/2701.html). Tentacles made them do it! :D

Last fanwork (fanfic): In the Shadows (http://archiveofourown.org/works/121089), by (http://lucifuge5.dreamwidth.org/profile)lucifuge5 (http://lucifuge5.dreamwidth.org/). A Shattered/BSG crossover, this was great spin on the Smart!Ben alter we saw in "Don't Wanna Die."

Last fanwork (fanart): Dief and Turtle's Day Off: Pizza and Nightmares (or the obligatory Deif and Turtle human AU) (http://love-jackianto.livejournal.com/102099.html), by love_jackianto. Cute, funny and it just made my morning.

The very first fanwork I ever read that involved due South was a crossover with Highlander.


Making a Mark (http://www.squidge.org/dsa/archive/0/makinga.html) by Andromeda_girl. More Highlander-centric from what I remember, though RayK is a major character.
