Admin Post: Favorites of 2006 challenge!

Hello! A new year is upon us, and, as promised, we are BACK with all new challenges! As always, PLEASE comment on this entry if you have ideas for challenges. We want them! We read them!

I will admit to some selfishness on this challenge, because I was miserable at keeping track of the fics I loved this year, and there were MANY. So, tell us what your favorite fics of 2006 were! Anything DS posted anywhere from January 1 to December 31 is fair game. This is a challenge where sets of three would be great, but it is, of course, not required. Tell us what you loved and why you loved it! Help your fellow fangirls find some fics they misplaced or somehow didn't see!

Why I'm reccing this fic:

Okay, I'm totally cheating because I'm not only reccing Myerp, but also its sequels Moirrp, Myerp Myerp and Koosh, Meet Park. But you have to read the entire series because of its awesomeness. The entire series makes me happy and that's why it is one of my favourites.

Why do I rec it? Well, it is basically alien!kid!fic with a serving of first!time!relationship. Yes, it is crack!fic. But only the premise is crack - mondschein1 writes the story so well that you're sucked in it and you have to love it. See the excerpt:
