Why I'm reccing this fic: This story is a wonderful example of a hurt/comfort in its traditional meaning and I love it to bits. Ray is seriously injured in the line of duty (OMG, hand grenade!) and suffers some brain damage (troubles with speaking, panic attacks, etc). There's even some amnesia here! Great characterization, interesting plot with a somewhat unexpected twist (or should I say a surprise guest appearance?) near the end of the story.
