A final set of Death, After-Death, Near-Death, and Not-Really-Dead recs.
Shack#11, by Julad, features an unreliable narrator and a tragic death. The implications of this one disturb me. (gen, PG, 500 words)
Leftovers, by VB, is a short and wrenching outsider POV death-fic. (gen or F/K, PG, 1610 words) Thanks to
busaikko for finding this one.
A Box of Pictures by
pearl_o is a quiet portrait of a grieving Fraser. (F/K, PG-13, 850 words)
Where My Soul Dwells, by Starfish. Post-CotW, Fraser receives a letter explaining that Ray's been killed. Heavy angst up front, with a happy ending. (F/K, R, 40k)
secretlybronte's Team Angst entry, Dead on Arrival, is a novella with 4 stories packed into it. Story #1 has Ray returning from Canada to look after his dying mother. Story #2 is about Ray taking an undercover job with the Polish mob. Story #3 has him faking his own death and hiding out as an instructor at the Depot. Story #4 has Ray return to Fraser. Ray's Not-Dead. But Fraser has a hard time believing it. This fic will make you laugh and make you cry; you might even dance the "Kowalski is great!" dance. (F/K, R, 31000 words)
No Less Radiant, by Laura Kaye, is a sweet and really not at all angsty After-Death fic. It's part of the 4-story "Unfinished Business" series, some of which includes both angst and porn. (F/K, PG, 718 words)
