Title: Woman Like a Man
Author:
lalejandra
Pairing: Fraser/RayK
Rating: PG (pre-slash)
Length: ~ 1700 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: RayK! In combat boots! And short black skirt! With a bracelet and eye glitter! OMG, SO HOT!
Seriously, cross-dressing is so not my thing but Lalejandra is so damn talented, she managed to convince me in the wrongness of my ways. This little AU is totally believable, Lalejandra’s transvestite!Ray is very much in character and poor confused Fraser doesn’t stand a chance!
The soft touch was Detective Kowalski, clad in combat boots, another short black skirt, and a black undershirt. Around his wrist was a silver bracelet. On his exposed arm was a red and black tattoo that said Champion. His lipstick was darker today, a reddish purple slash, and under his eyes, it appeared that he had applied glitter.
I was entranced. I could not look away.
"Yo," he said. "Vecchio's pet Mountie."
"Hello, Detective," I replied.

Why I'm reccing this fic: While I was writing the previous rec, I remembered that there was other fic that managed to sold me all this cross-dressing business. And, of course, it’s Speranza (*worships*)! So, I don’t think this fic really needs any special reccing because I doubt there is anybody who hasn’t read it already. Anyway, what more a reader can possibly need? Speranza’s trademark humor, a little bit of angst and so much hotness! And Fraser in drag!
And then they were through the door and back in the dank, stone corridor. Ray turned, still holding Fraser's hand, and said, "I'm beginning to think you're messing with me."
Fraser looked startled, and then vaguely annoyed. "Me? Messing with you?"
"Yeah," Ray said, cause he sure felt messed with, like maybe he wanted to hit Fraser, or kiss Fraser, or fuck Fraser, or maybe just bang his own head against the stone wall until he was unconscious or, better yet, dead.
"I don't see how I'm messing with you," Fraser retorted. "I'm the one wearing the dress, if you'd deign to notice."
"I--yeah." Ray stopped, stared at Fraser, nodded. Fraser was wearing a dress all right. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm just..."
"I know," Fraser said, taking a step closer. "It's overwhelming. Confusing. And slightly preposterous," and that was just about right. "But it's all right, Ray--everything's going to be all right," and suddenly Fraser was real close, gripping his shoulders and pressing him up against the cold, damp wall and kissing him. Ray let himself be kissed, let Fraser kiss him, let Fraser kiss him until Fraser decided not to anymore.

Date: 2006-10-10 04:47 am (UTC)Ray made fists in the red wig, trying to hold Fraser's mouth close, hold it, take it---but the hair was dead and dry in his hands, loathsome and awful, and so he broke the kiss, yanked the wig off Fraser's head, and tossed it into the back seat.
"Ray!" Fraser said, looking shocked; his own glossy dark hair was a mess, flat in places and then sticking up crazily in others.
and then I was more than OK. Yowzer, Fraser in eyeliner. Yes, please.
