I just finished that up and one of the downloads might be urgent, so here you go.
I've spent some time tracking down DS videos, so I decided to recommend all the vids that I kept. Sometimes you have to scroll down, and one vid requires you to contact the vidder per email, I made that clear.
Naturally, I think they are all great. In case you want a smaller selection, I marked those with a star that, IMO, are often recommended.

I want to slap him silly, hug him tight and drool all over him just like most of the female characters that had a walk-on or a larger role on Due South. Often I want to do all these at the same time. It can be very confusing.

Benton Fraser is a well-mannered goody-two-shoes with yummy good looks. His niceness and his loonieness are his super powers, they often get him his way - Fraser is the nicest manipulator you could ever meet. He is also stubborn, passive-aggressive and ruthless when needed. He is a very good man but not a flawless man - when he falls off the virtue wagon, he falls hard. A bullet in the back is all that keeps him from running off with a murdering bank-robber.

Title: And these are all for you
Author: [livejournal.com profile] innocentsmith
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski, Fraser/other canon characters
Rating: PG
Length: 8200
Why I'm reccing this fic: I'm so impressed that this seems to be the author's first due South story. It offers an insightful perspective on Fraser, and how he tries to make sense of people around him. I love how the fairy tales he read as a child affected him, and how he wrestles with the question of what makes a person attractive. The writing is sometimes poetic and beautiful, and sometimes strikingly funny, and very much Fraser.

Also, the Martha section alone would have been enough to make me love it.

This is almost my first time reccing, and go figure, all these recs are Fraser-related (or Fraser-family-related).

Title: A Quiet Morning at Home
Author: [livejournal.com profile] dsudis
Pairing: Bob/Caroline, Buck
Rating: G
Length: 787 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: This story shows Bob on the morning before his wedding, with Buck helping him prepare himself. It's a very thoughtful little story about the similarities and differences between partnership and marriage.

Title: Missing Pieces
Author: [livejournal.com profile] aukestrel
Pairing: Fraser/Smithbauer
Rating: NC-17
Length: 25 pages in pdf format
Why I'm reccing this fic: This is backstory for the (completely and totally awesome) AU "Strange Loops", but it can be read separately, too. I don't know why this pushes my buttons so hard--it's not the hockey thing, because despite being Swedish, I have never watched a hockey game in my life (although between this and Hawks and Hands, my mind firmly associates hockey with gay sex). I think it's that this relationship shows Fraser in a different light compared to his relationship with the Rays. It's not true love so much as buddy-sex, but there's still a trust between them, because they were childhood friends and know each other so well. And my GOD, the sex is hot.

Title: Come With Me
Author: [livejournal.com profile] zabira
Pairing: Fraser/Victoria
Rating: PG-13
Length: about 10.000 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: This is a new story, so you've probably seen it announced, but it affected me so much that I just want to make sure as many people as possible read it. [livejournal.com profile] zabira shows Victoria to be a complex and human character, with a backstory that explains so much about her. It doesn't redeem her completely--she still does what she does--but it makes me heart ache not just for Fraser, but for her too. They are both so young when they first meet, and seen through Victoria's eyes, Fraser just kind of--shines through. He's straight and true and tries so hard, and sees and respects her a way that noone else has before, and he does what he has to do, but he just doesn't see what his actions are doing to her. It made me cry.

Title: Some Strange Prphecy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza
Pairing: F/K
Rating: NC-17
Length: 317K
Why I'm reccing this fic: Victoria is captured, and everyone, from Vecchio to Welsh to Dief, warns Ray that she makes Fraser crazy. And indeed she does. Fraser suddenly decides that the world is his oyster, and that he's going to start making up for lost time. Ray gets dragged along on a long, strange, sexually rambunctious road trip. A hot waitress and the Cyclorama in Atlanta! The leggy blonde horsewoman at the Yellowhammer County Fair who wants a threesome! Seafood and bondage in New Orleans! Fake Eiffel towers and blowjobs in Vegas! How can you resist?

Thank goodness this week's other reccers and my own past recs for this comm have covered some of my fics! Here are three more I just can't leave out.

Title: All the Comforts of Home
Author: Denise Raymond ([livejournal.com profile] rattlecatcher)
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski, Vecchio/Stella
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~53,300 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: I adore this future for Fraser and Ray! They're on their way to happily ever after in remote British Columbia, until Vecchio stumbles into the middle of a Salish ritual they're participating in and potentially disrupts their lives. We get to watch as Vecchio slowly comes to terms with his best friend's new relationship, and even turns to Kowalski for Stella advice. Fraser and Ray are so wonderfully, deeply in love, here, and have found a true home in the community. Denise describes wonderful, realistic original characters like Elder Mike Bluemountain and his daughter Peggy, and rotates the POV between the two Rays and Fraser, all perfectly in character. (I have to confess I'm especially taken with Kowalski's quick temper he's constantly reining in, in order to process, but then I'm particularly taken with Kowalski. ;-) There's even more in the followup Chicago Tales, in which the rest of the couple's old friends deal, or not. The two stories describe intense emotions believably, and deliver a happy ending that's realistic rather than syrupy.

Title: Ten Things to Get Used To
Author: Speranza ([livejournal.com profile] cesperanza)
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~6,900 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: Speranza has pulled together ten exquisite portraits of life in the Northwest Territories for Fraser and Ray. Ray's adjusting to life in the north, and Fraser's adjusting to life with a lover—with this lover. The vignettes range from cute and sweet, to wonderfully porntastic, to piercingly insightful about these characters or about small town life. And every single one feels fresh and absolutely real.

Title: Pas de Deux
Author: Sihaya Black ([livejournal.com profile] sihayab)
Pairing: Fraser/Victoria, Fraser/Kowalski
Rating: R
Length: ~48,600 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: What makes this an AU of my heart? I mean Ray and ballroom dancing, that's always beautiful. But Ray being stuffed full of food at Stosh's, and then rocking the floor with his polka and zbojnicki? Is pure Polish gold. Plus Sihaya has done a wonderful job of weaving into this alternate universe Stella-the-ex, Turnbull-the-fanboy, Vecchio-the-partner, and a painfully vicious Victoria, with both her criminal and amorous deceptions of Fraser. And even though this Ray isn't a cop, his integrity, courage, loyalty and open heart are the Ray we know and love.

People have been saying that a dS renaissance is underway and I think that's apparent in the quality, brilliancy, depth and, uh, porniness, of the stories that have gone up since May. It's a great idea to run this challenge for two weeks - otherwise we might not be able to fit everything in :-) I'm going to start us off with three beautifully-written stories that pack a big emotional punch. I hope these chilly favourites of mine will be new to a few folks, and that some of you will rediscover these terrific stories.

Title: Edge of Snow
Author: [livejournal.com profile] arrow00
Pairing: F/K
Rating: NC-17
Length: 9,388

Why I'm reccing this fic:

[livejournal.com profile] arrow00 may be relatively new to the fandom (she's been posting since January) but she's already amassed an impressive body of work that ranges from the silly to the sexy to the sublime. I keep returning to her fantastic "Edge of Snow" because it deals with a traumatic sexual experience Fraser went through in a realistic and highly believable way. [livejournal.com profile] arrow00 doesn't pull her punches as she explores how Fraser's history impacts his relationship with Ray, nor does she simplify the issue of sexual violation. This story offers a very sharp, complex characterizations of Our Heroes, and I really liked the way [livejournal.com profile] arrow00 used Fraser's sexual history to add another wrinkle to his sense of isolation and disconnection from other people.

Title: Migration
Author: [livejournal.com profile] troyswann/Salieri
Pairing: F/K (post-CotW)
Rating: PG
Length: 980 words

Why I'm reccing this fic:

When Sal's not out revolutionizing the concept of the sci-fi AU with her fantastic Blade Runner dS story Real Boys (and its equally impressive sequel) she writes smaller, perfect gems that capture and reflect these well-known characters so well that I want to throw my hands up and give up on writing dS altogether, since she's already done everything so well. I love "Migration" for its beautiful, understated scene-setting, and for the subtle way in which the landscape echoes what's going on between Fraser and Ray. Everything is frozen, caught in a moment of hesitation, and this story seems to take place in the breath between moments on an icy lake as Fraser and Ray make their way north. Sal gets bonus points for invoking the Hinterland "Who's Who" theme: anyone who grew up watching the CBC can probably hear that haunting flute solo echo over the lines of this story, which is as perfect in its way as a wave frozen in place during a winter storm.

Title: Let Be Be Finale of Seem
Author: [livejournal.com profile] spuffyduds
Pairing: Fraser/Victoria, mentions of F/K
Rating: R
Length: 2,700 words

Why I'm reccing this fic:

This one isn't a happy story, although it does have a happy ending (or at least a hopeful one). It begins with Fraser trying and failing to find some kind of physical release in his lonely office. He usually thinks of Victoria (because "what she did was good, felt good, felt wonderful. But he never gets that far, in his remembering. It’s the jolt of terror that puts him over the edge, every time") but that doesn't work, and so he thinks of Ray instead. Which causes him to reevaluate his entire sexual and emotional identity. This isn't a typical Character A-figures-out-he's-gay story, since Spuffy is much more interested in exploring why Fraser shies away from intimacy, love and affection. She offers a fantastic portrait of Ray (who is completely loyal and impatient, just as he should be) and there's a scene of breathless social cruelty in this fic that made my heart break for poor Fraser. I, huh, hope that's a big selling point to you angstmonkeys out there. :-)

Title: Pas de Deux
Author: Sihaya Black
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski, Fraser/Victoria
Rating: NC-17
Length: Wonderfully long
Why I'm reccing this fic: I figured all of my favorites had been recced so far, but then I realized that I hadn't seen this come up yet, and that's just a damn shame, because this is a classic. Ray as a dance teacher! Fraser being his block of wood self, with cameos by Victoria and Vecchio. There's also polka dancing! Seriously, if people weren't coming over soon, I'd be rereading it right now. Instead, I'll just save it to the desktop until I'm stuck on an airplane next week.
